I love going to McDonalds and I have to say everytime I go there I try to see how have they made things so the same standard is everywhere (like the salt shaker) or made things easier for their employees by reducing waste.
While I was in Scotland I decided to have a mcflurry and I saw the brilliance in that they use the spoon to stir the mcflurry. Here in Iceland if you have a flurry - called Bragðarefur in Icelandic. In iceland when you are making bragðarefur you put the icream and your preferred selected sweets into a bowl and use a machine to mix it and then you put it in a container. This results in the employee needing to wash both the machine and the container used to mix it in. As a former ice cream employee I can tell you that the most boring thing about making Bragðarefur is cleaning the machine. So maybe in a few years the icelandic ice cream shop owners will change to the mcdonalds way.
